As the training program is designed to accommodate a variety of participants at any experience level, the curriculum will cover the fundamentals of NeuroDynamic Breathwork (NBD), which is a modern, science-based modality developed by NeuroDynamic Institute founder Michael Stone. During these foundational lessons, students will learn about the history and science behind breathwork, existing modalities, and how the practice can be integrated into an overall health and well-being plan.

Students will also be taught how to lead breathwork workshops, with many of the course’s core modules focusing on developing key facilitation skills. Topics include breathwork medical contraindications, understanding tetany, maintaining energetic boundaries, and the range of experiences a breathwork practitioner may have during a session. Because breathwork involves both physiological and psychological processes, aspiring facilitators will learn how to work with the “Ego Mind” and how to direct “NBD Release Work,” practices that are geared towards helping breathers achieve closure during workshops.

A significant portion of the curriculum is devoted to personal development and improving self-awareness, which NeuroDynamic Institute believes is essential for effective facilitation. During this segment, the teaching team will work closely with students to help them distinguish between the emotional and logical parts of the mind. They will also learn specific methods to deal with their emotions internally and use them as tools for growth.

Additionally, members of the program will receive professional career guidance in breathwork facilitation. This component includes lessons on planning and advertising workshops, designing appropriate music sets, screening potential practitioners, and effective space setup. Upon completion of the course, students will be certified to facilitate online group workshops and one-on-one in-person workshops under the NeuroDynamic name.
